Matt Lieberman

Dr. Matthew Lieberman is Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Resonance. Matt’s research in the field of social connection has been at the forefront of neuroscience research for two decades studying how the human brain understands and engages with the social world.

Matt is responsible for the development of the Resonance research and the various technologies and products building on that research. Matt also collaborates on the development and execution of Resonance’s core strategy.

Matt holds a Ph.D in Psychology from Harvard University and has been a professor of psychology and director of the UCLA Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab for Neuroscience since 2000.  He is the author of the best-selling book Social: Why our brains are wired to connect that brought this research from the laboratory to a mass market.  His research has won numerous awards and has been featured in nearly every top media outlet. Matt lives in Westwood with his wife and son.

Jake Neuberg

Jake Neuberg is Co-Founder and CEO of Resonance. Jake collaborates on the development and execution of Resonance’s core strategy as well as leads Resonance’s sales, marketing, operations and financial teams.

Prior to Co-Founding Resonance, Jake was the Co-Founder of a major online tutoring company, which he helped grow to be the national leader in online tutoring before selling the company to a private equity firm. Jake was also a Co-Founder of Wonderland Math, a live online learning community that helps elementary students build their math skills and fall in love with learning.

Jake is passionate about forming deep social connections and helping those around him enrich their lives by doing the same. Jake earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. He lives in the Pacific Palisades with his wife and their four children.
